Welcome, Future Students...
All ages. All stages. All dreaming of a better future.
Tony never took high school seriously. After two years of business classes at Cabrillo, he didn’t know what he wanted to do. His counselor encouraged him to try an engineering course at Cabrillo. Tony fell in love with engineering and the rest, as they say, is history. He did so well in his lower division coursework at Cabrillo that he received a prestigious $10,000 engineering scholarship to San Jose State University. Tony recently graduated from SJSU with a 4.0 GPA in his major and 3.78 overall. He credits Cabrillo's instructors with transforming his life.
Sandra knew she needed to find a high-paying job quickly to help care for her family, so in her junior year of high school she decided to try out Cabrillo's criminal justice program. Now a high school senior, with 15 college units already under her belt, she plans to complete another 15 units at Cabrillo by the time she graduates high school. Then she'll only have one year left at Cabrillo before stepping out into the world as a highly paid corrections officer. She'll also be the first person in her family to get a college degree.
Ian had expected his studies in computer programming to become a career. Yet, the graphic design classes he was taking at Cabrillo were very interesting and allowed him to express his creativity. The digital media program at Cabrillo was the ticket for Ian to transition into a satisfying career. Ian now works for a local newspaper as a graphic designer—and really loves what he does.
